COVID-19: Extra measures and site rules.

We want you to enjoy your time here at hidden valley camping, but we must remind you that holidaying this year is a privelage and not a right. We have had to implement new rules and measure to ensure the safety of ourselves and our guests, and we expect nothing less than full cooperation from everybody on site. If you don't agree with any of our rules and measures below, then please don't book.

Cleaning

We will vigorously clean shared facilites/busy areas more frequently. Cleaning products will be available for guests to use to clean these areas after each use. Children must be accompanied to the toilet/shower and it is the parents responsibility to clean these areas after use. Any cleaning/hygene realted incidents (running out of sanitser or cleaning products, other guests leaving facilities not clean etc) must be reported to staff immediately.

Anybody caught 'borrowing' or removing hand sanitser or cleaning products from their designated areas will be reported to the police for stealing and will be asked to leave.

Anyone caught repeatedly leaving facilities in an uncleaned state will be asked to leave

Extra hand sanitiser points have been put up around the site, and signage reminding guests to wash hands and to sanitise has also been out up around the site.

Glamping accommodation: We wash our bedding with a disinfectant laundry additive. All bedding (including duvets and matteress toppers) is swapped between guests. We ask that glamping guests bring their own pillows and their own air beds for their children. In the event that you forget your pillows, we can provide pillows with a waterproof cover, which again will be swapped and washed between guests. Mattresses, and high traffic areas cleaned and misted with a disinfectant between guests.

It is your responsibility to keep your accommodation and equipment clean during your stay, and cleaning products will be supplied for this purpose. We will re-wash cooking & dining equipment again once you leave, but please do not leave dirty dishes behind. We ask that you also bring your own cutlery.

For the safety of site staff, we expect all guests to leave thier accommodation in a clean and presentable state.

Social distancing

Although the Government has relaxed the 2m rule recently, we still expect you to keep AT LEAST a 2m distance from anybody not in your immediate family group. If you are waiting to use the shared facilities, please wait outside leaving more than a 2m gap between you and the door, and at least a 2m gap between people in the queue. Signs have been out up to remind you of this.

No more than 6 people from multiple househoulds may congretate on a pitch at any one time. Group bookings of more than 2 houselholds (2 households in a bubble count as 1 household) are not allowed.

We know it is easy to forget, but If you repeatedly break these social distancing rules then you will be asked to leave.

Arrivals

Guests will be allocated a pitch number, and on arrival (no earlier than 3pm) can find their pitch and set up. ALL guests staying on the campsite MUST register their names and contact details for track and trace purposes. Please pitch in the middle of your pitch ensuring maximum space between pitches.

Departures

Departure time is 11am. Guests are asked to vacate their pitches/glamping accommodation in a timely fashion to give us plenty of time to clean everything properly. Please don't congregate in the car parking area, and please don't touch or lean on anyone elses vehicles.

Cancellations

Typically, 15% deposit is non-refundable. The remainder can only be refunded up to 1 week (7 days) before arrival date. In the event of a local lockdown in your area or ours, we will endevour to rearrange your stay, or if this is not viable we will ask you to apply for a full refund. Please make sure you have travel insurance for such instances. No refunds for inclement weather, proof may be required if a Covid-19 cancellation coincides with bad weather and a refund is requested.

General

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
